Meet your friends and neighbors that are supporting Ithaca Community Radio.
Your generous support over the years has made it possible for us to complete the long and complex process of obtaining FCC licenses to have community owned and operated broadcast services on your airwaves. Now, with a fully functioning Class A license, we can finally have community control of our stations in Ithaca and the Watkins Glen area. Your support enabled us to establish a local, community owned and operated radio station with a mission of using the airwaves to support our communities.
With your help, Ithaca and Fingerlakes Community Radio can continue its goal of broadcasting radio for the people by the people--radio that serves our communities and shapes our lives.
When you make a financial contribution, you're helping support ICR's short and long-term projects. Your donations help fund operating costs and make it possible to obtain and create programming with a community focus. Our operating expenses are paid for by the generous support of our listeners, and we are grateful for any size donation--no amount is too small. We are proud to be a part of a community that supports and creates the media it wants to hear.
Donations to Ithaca Community Radio are tax deductible (under 501(c)3 status). Mailed Donations can be made through our fiscal sponsor, Innovative Charitable Initiatives, a subsidiary of New York Council of Nonprofits. See mailing instructions below for more details.

It's easy to donate services with GoodInKind.
GoodInKind.com, launched in Ithaca, provides a way for you to support ICR by either offering a service of some kind to other members of the community or by purchasing a service offered by others. The proceeds from the transactions are channeled directly to us to support our mission.
For example, if you’re good at tennis, you can offer a tennis lesson to someone for, say, $50. When you post that offer on GoodInKind.com, you choose Ithaca Community Radio as the recipient of the funds. When someone sees your offer, they contact you through GoodInKind to make arrangements for the lesson, enter their credit card information, and GoodInKind then channels the $50 to us.
GoodInKind is a way for you to support us by simply doing something fun, teaching or learning something new, or by helping out your neighbors.
A 60 second video explaining how it works can be seen at the GoodInKind website.

There are several ways you can help Ithaca Community Radio. Becoming involved in the growth of Ithaca Community Radio is vital to the success of this grassroots project. It takes many hands to build a successful community radio station, and we'd love for as many community members as possible to get involved.
Whether you have previous radio experience or you're interested in learning, we welcome your willingness to help. Even if you believe your skills may not be radio-oriented, we have many other projects beyond radio production that could use some assistance.
If you'd like to to learn to "make radio," please sign up for one of our radio production workshops. You'll be taught the basics of radio journalism, learning to interview, record, edit, and produce your very own stories. And you'll have fun while working with some of your neighbors from the Finger Lakes community. Several of your friends and neighbors have already completed the workshops and you can join them in creating your community's radio station.
If you or your organization would like to support Ithaca Community Radio through fundraising, please feel free to contact us.
Your Support Makes it Possible
Meet your friends and neighbors that are supporting Ithaca Community Radio. Join us in building your community radio station.
Your generous Financial Support has made all this possible:
Obtaining FCC licenses and permits to operate a Class A radio station, which makes it possible for Ithaca and Fingerlakes Community Radio to finally broadcast our own, community focused content on the community's airwaves!
Construction of our brand new broadcasting studio in The Clinton House in downtown Ithaca. We're very excited to be broadcasting quality radio programs that reflect our community's interests as well as making it possible for you and your neighbors to produce radio programs they feel are of interest to the Finger Lakes community and beyond.
We have held several successful radio production workshops to help teach people how to make locally produced radio shows by and for the community.
