Learn how to Make Radio

Part of our mission is to teach the craft of making radio to anyone that wants to learn. We believe that it's important to help make the airwaves accesible to all, not just the famous or those with connections. Got an idea for a radio program, please drop us a line and we'll get the ball rolling. If you have ideas but don't have any intention of being in front of a microphone, that's not a problem. Your ideas could be the basis of a program that you and a group of others with similar interests can produce. Making quality radio programs takes effort, and many hands make less work.

Share Your Ideas with Fellow Listeners

Our blog is for you, the listeners of Ithaca Community Radio, to share your thoughts with the community. We value communication and want everyone's voice to be heard and we'd love your input.

Because Ithaca Community Radio is a grassroots initiative, we need everyone's help in building our programming.

There are several programming topics that will help shape the sound of Ithaca Community Radio:
  • What types of shows should we broadcast?
  • What kind of news do you want to hear?
  • Are there topics that interest you that no one else is covering?
  • What kind of music is missing from the local radio landscape?
  • Are there any shows from other parts of the country that we should rebroadcast?
  • What types of excellent programming is featured on other community radio stations?
Visit our blog and sound off, and let's build together!
